The Project Requirement

As Drupal Community had stopped providing support for Drupal 6, the client wanted us to upgrade the Drupal version of their website.

Our Solution

In the first place, we intended at Drupal 8 because it was the latest available Drupal version. But later, we left the idea because in our analysis of the website and Drupal 8 we discovered Drupal 8 could not satisfy all project requirements. Then we moved to Drupal 7.

However, moving the website to Drupal 7 was also not a cake-like job because it also had numerous changes. Here are a few.

No Module was available to fetch data from

As per the client’s requirements, we needed an module supporting data fetching from But, no such API was available. Therefore, we researched and developed an module for it. Our module could fetch the data, update our database when any update happened on

Advertisement module was not working.

We got a module, but it was not working. We diagnosed and repaired it. To help other Drupal developers, we updated the fixed advertisement module on We received loads of applauds from the Drupal community for our contribution to the community.

Image mapping was a challenge.

We were getting error messages while mapping the images. We discussed the issue with the Drupal community on and they helped us fixed the issue. To fix it, we changed some settings from the backend.
